Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way to help pets in need and meet other caring humans like you! We welcome all ages and animal lovers with a variety of skills, talents, experiences; assistance is need in the following areas:

Hands On Pet Care:

Help with Animal Rescues

• Trap-neuter-return (TNR) humanely manages community and free roaming cats, and prevents the breeding that increases community cat populations. With TNR, cats are caught with humane traps, neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colony to live under the eye of a human caretaker who provides food, water and shelter as necessary. During TNR surgery, cats also have the tips of their ear clipped (ear tipping). You can be a part of this life-saving mission by joining us. We need volunteers to assist with trapping projects, transport pre- and post-surgery.
• Foster feral/stray cats after surgery for recovery 2 days – 2 weeks
• Transport strays/Community Cats/pets of the homeless to take to vet for medical issues

 

Help with Pet Holiday Drive

• Contact, set up and maintain a pet store for holiday donations

Donate Labor - Animal Care

• Volunteer at one of our partner Shelters/Rescue Groups: Carson Animal Shelter…

Office Clerical Support

• Write fundraising campaigns for specific cats/dogs/causes on crowdfunding sites

• Research and request donation of supplies– medical, food, transport crates, toys, bedding

• Solicit Vet/Vet Techs to offer Free/low cost services

• Research and seek Grants

Networking – Promotion

• Promote Rocking Pets Foundation via social networks
